Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University will welcome back one of the Bulldogs' Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship football squads during homecoming weekend in Big Rapids.

The Bulldogs will recognize and honor the 2014 GLIAC Football Championship squad during the Oct. 5 homecoming game versus Roosevelt, which kicks off at 2 p.m. (ET) at Top Taggart Field.

The 2014 squad compiled an 11-1 overall record and was FSU's first conference championship squad under head coach Tony Annese. The team also made the first of Ferris State's nine consecutive NCAA Division II Playoff appearances to date, which leads the nation. The league title marked FSU's first conference championship since 1999.

Members of the championship team will be honored during the game.
