Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's basketball squad, which reached the NCAA Division II Elite Eight last winter and claimed the Midwest Regional Championship, has unveiled its upcoming 2024-25 schedule.

The Bulldogs will again test themselves against some of the nation's best with a challenging regular-season slate that includes 20 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) contests along with 27 games versus Midwest Region counterparts.

Overall, the Bulldogs will also play 18 home contests inside Jim Wink Arena, including a pair of exhibition matchups starting with the annual Alumni Game on Oct. 12 along with a preseason tilt versus NCAA Division III power Calvin on Oct. 22.

One of the highlights of the Bulldogs' 2024-25 slate will be an exhibition game on Oct. 29 versus Michigan State at the Breslin Center in East Lansing.

Ferris State will get an early jump on the competition in the regular-season as the Bulldogs take part in the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Tip-Off Tourney on Nov. 1-2 in Canyon, Texas. FSU will face host West Texas A&M in the regular-season opener on Nov. 1 before meeting North Carolina-Pembroke on Nov. 2.

Following the season-opening trip to Texas, the Bulldogs will then play host to the GLIAC/Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Crossover on Nov. 8-9, hosting Northwood and Lake Erie in regional games at Wink Arena.

Ferris State will also play regional home tilts against strong Midwest Region schools in Lewis (Nov. 13) and Findlay (Nov. 23) during the opening month of the campaign while facing other regional foes on the road, including McKendree (Nov. 16), Ashland (Nov. 20) and Cedarville (Dec. 19).

The Bulldogs will open GLIAC play at home against Lake Superior State on Dec. 3 before meeting leave newcomer Roosevelt for the first-time ever on Dec. 7 in Illinois. The bulk of the conference slate begins in the New Year when Saginaw Valley State comes to town on Jan. 2 to begin a four-game league homestead.

Along with the other GLIAC home games, the Bulldogs will also play host to Grace Christian (Nov. 26) and Lambton (Ontario) on Dec. 21 in Big Rapids.

FSU's regular-season concludes with a trip to Saginaw Valley State on March 1 before the GLIAC Tournament starts with quarterfinal-round play on campus sites on March 5. The league semifinals and finals are on March 8-9.

Ferris State won both the GLIAC Tournament Championship and the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional title last season, closing the year with a 28-8 overall record while notching a share of the second-most wins in program history. The Bulldogs made their first trip to the D2 Elite Eight in six years with the last coming in 2018 when FSU captured its first NCAA D2 National Championship. Last year's appearance in the Elite Eight was the Bulldogs' third overall in program history.
